I began waterfowl hunting at a young age and immediately was obsessed. Most of my hunting was done on public land until I began running trips along the Illinois River Valley amongst the high dollar duck clubs scattered throughout it. That’s when I fell in love with showing people how cool hunting and nature are without really needing to be behind the gun. I’ve guided for several outfits since then throughout the Central and Mississippi flyway’s and have taken the experiences whether they be good or bad, and applied them to Redbeard’s as the standard amongst our company. I then built slowly and hired diligently to ensure I filled my organization with other folks that would hold that standard, often leaning on folks I met during my time in the Army as I know they understand standards and professionalism. The Redbeard’s name is an ode to the beard I traditionally grow during waterfowl season as well as the team I first went overseas with as we had a Jolly Roger as our insignia.
